The essentials
- You don't receive an invoice from us.
- The supplier pays us a commission when you take a contract we've arranged.
- It is included in your price, as an amount within your unit rate (pence per kWh) and/or standing charge (pence per day).
- In other words, our service is paid for through your rates.
How the amount works
The commission is fixed when the contract is agreed. What we receive in total depends on your consumption and the contract length: higher usage or a longer term means more commission. Commission can differ between suppliers and products.
On request, we'll tell you how much commission is included in any quote. Your supplier may also show broker costs on your contract or bills.
What we commit to
- Telling you we're paid by commission before you agree to a contract.
- Telling you the commission in a quote if you ask.
- Telling you which suppliers we approached.
Other charges
We don't charge a separate fee for arranging a contract. If any other service ever carried a charge, we'd agree it with you in writing first.
